"Together we reveal your Best You!"

Welcome to my website!
Hello, I am Margaret!
There are hundreds of resume writing sites on the web to choose from, I am very pleased you found your way to mine!
If you are trying to find someone you feel comfortable working with, and who appears to provide what you are looking for to assist you with your resume, here is a little bit...
About Me
I am a Certified Professional Resume Writer, CPRW, certified through the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARW-CC). I am also certified as a Microsoft Word Specialist.
I have reviewed, edited, and written resumes for over ten years.
As a recruiter, working with people on their resumes was my favorite part!
A broad assortment of resumes crossed my desk. I know, all too well, why the majority of resumes are dismissed after a cursory glance. More importantly, I know why some resumes receive an immediate call for an interview!
We can work together to reveal your best YOU!
The real YOU, who can feel confident submitting your resume and confident interviewing!
I love writing resumes!
I love having conversations with people to uncover skills and experience they have dismissed as... ordinary.
Most of all, I LOVE going through the process and hear my client say...
" Wow, I really do know a lot, don't I?" Yes! Yes, you do!

RESUMES
STRONG CONTENT !
Content is the Name of the Game!
The key to an outstanding resume is CONTENT! Strong, concise, descriptive, interesting and clear content is how we make YOU stand out.
Resumes are NOT about listing every responsibility and task you have ever done. Boring....
A flashy formatted resume, with all the designer bells and whistles is NOT going to result in a call for an interview if you do not have strong, descriptive. concise CONTENT!
Resumes are a marketing tool used to tell the story of your competencies and your strengths. Most importantly, resumes are an opportunity to tell the world about what it is that makes YOU special, and why a potential employer would be lucky to have YOU as a member of their team.
Be prepared to work with me as a partner. Together we will dig for the golden pieces of your experience and use them as building blocks to:
Reveal your BEST YOU!

COVER LETTERS
TAKE THE EXTRA STEP !
Are Cover Letters Still Relevant?
"No one sends cover letters anymore", they are old fashioned, they are a waste of time, no one reads them anyway". This is what I hear many people say. Well, maybe... maybe NOT!
I would like to share with you, as a recruiter for nine years, that I can count on my fingers the number of cover letters I received. And... I read everyone of them. I was impressed that someone took the time to write it! It indicated to me that they were seriously intersted in the postion and professional.
Did it make a difference? If it was boring and standard script, no. However, if it was well written, interesting, gave me a little insight into the personality of the person in a positive way, yes! Yes, it did make a difference!"
If I had three resumes, all of which appeared to meet the qualifications, I would call the person who sent me the interesting, well written cover letter FIRST.
A cover letter is your opportunity to be more than a list of bullets. It is your opportunity to let your personality shine. It allows you to express your interest in the position and, you can point out your strengths that make YOU the right fit for the role.
Take advantage of the opportunity to stand out. Take this extra step, it doesn't take much of your time. Send a well written, expressive cover letter with every submittal.

LINKED-IN PROFILES
STAND OUT !
Is It Worth Having a LinkedIn Profile?
Check it out for yourself. Do a web search on, "Do recruiters look at LinkedIn?" You will find, from several sources, that an estimated 87% of recruiters regularly use LinkedIn to find and/or "vet" their candidates.
When I was in recruiting, I used LinkedIn well over 90% of the time to search for candidates.
The answer is a resounding, YES! It is worth having a LinkedIn profile.
Stand out, help people find you! It is another opportunity to be known. Even if you submit via an ATS, most potential employers WILL be checking your LinkedIn profile for more info, so you want to look good. The basic profile is all you need to get noticed, and it's FREE!
Most importantly, make sure your content is filled with keywords
for your industry and role, and use a title that will show up in recruiter searches.
The GOOD NEWS is, once you have a strong, clear, concise, interesting resume filled with keywords you are already more than half-way to completing a great LinkedIn profile.
TIP #1: Once you have created an awesome profile send connect messages to recruiters! Let them know you are available! Expand your network.
TIP #2: Clean up ALL of your social media sites BEFORE you apply for any position. Don't take a chance on missing out on your dream job because of "controversial" content on your social media!
